Hello everyone! First I just want to say thank you for all the lovely comments that have been left on my blog and Instagram about my previous London Fashion Week outfit. I appreciate it so much! I didn’t attend LFW on days 2 and 3 due to being quite busy but yesterday I attended day 4 and had another great day! I also managed to get my sister to come along and take images and video footage again which was really cool, she’s the best!
I am going to move straight into what I am wearing; firstly the lovely people over at M&S collaborated with me and asked that I style up the ‘underwear as overwear’ trend using one of their lingerie products. This was exciting to me as this trend hasn’t truly been embraced yet and so having a go at it seemed fun! It is a slightly controversial look but if you follow my blog then you will know that I love edgy outfits. I chose to style up their beautiful baroque embroidered body from their Autograph collection as it has full coverage but the sheer inserts still give that slightly exposed feel. I have actually tested this ‘lingerie as overwear’ trend in the past by wearing a little bralet over the top of a top. This is another way the trend can be styled to make it wearable; through layering up. (If you want to see this post you can view it Here.) I can imagine that this trend would take some people right out of their comfort zone but bodysuits are really shapely and give you a nice silhouette, I will be styling it again in a lookbook on my Youtube Channel soon to show another way you can adopt this trend with a little help from M&S lingerie.
I wore my bodysuit with some navy culottes from Asos as these are going to be a huge trend for spring summer 2014, you can already see them emerging in high street stores everywhere. I can not wait to invest in some bright coloured and loudly printed culottes soon; they are so comfortable, so flattering and perfect for this time of year when you want to get out of drab winter clothes but can’t quite wear shorts and skirts yet due to the weather. I added an amazing vintage leather jacket which actually belongs to my sister but I thought it went really well along with my snapback to give the look an edgy twist. Lastly I had to wear heels to keep the outfit feminine, as after all I am a girl. Ha!
I hope you like this look, it is a bit of a contrast from the last one but my style is so broad and eclectic that it changes from day to day. Here are some snaps of me getting photographed at Somerset House and make sure to keep an eye out for my last London Fashion Week outfit which will probably be uploaded Wednesday! I will also be uploading a video of my LFW experience this week too! So make sure you SUBSCRIBE!
